Ben Ray Luján, Public Regulation Commissioner and the Democratic nominee for Congress in New Mexico's 3rd District, made the following statement on today's Federal Reserve report on the economy.
"The Federal Reserve again confirmed what is clear to the people of New Mexico: our families are struggling. Consumer confidence is low as prices for health care, food and energy are rising. Working families are being hit hard, jobs are being cut and wages are stagnant. It's clear we need to get our country back on track. We need an economy that works for the middle class by providing middle class tax relief, health care for all Americans and energy solutions that will lower prices and create jobs in New Mexico. We can't afford more of the same, we need change. In Congress, I'll stand up for the people of New Mexico to get our country back on track and focus our economy on the hard-working middle class."
