KXII - U.S. Senate Candidate Rice Stops in Durant

U.S. Senate candidate Andrew Rice made an appearance at a restaurant in Durant on what he's calling his 'economic tour' to talk about the economy and the election.

Rice greeted patrons at the Sherrer's Restaurant in Durant.

The tour started two weeks ago, with the Democratic candidate going to small businesses to talk about his economic plans.

Rice says that voting is essential and while voting the biggest issue to keep in mind is the economy.

"It's an important election. We have a chance to correct a lot of the problems we have had in the last eight years, and these elections could be very tight this year, so we encourage people to get out," Rice said.

Rice's tour will end on Tuesday.

Rice faces Republican incumbent Jim Inhofe in the general election Tuesday, November 4.
