Moore Money, Moore Problems - Jordan Calls on Moore to Return 64k in Bailout Money Taken 48 Hours After His Vote to Spend $700 Billion

Dennis Moore took $64K from those benefiting from his Wall Street bailout vote within 48 hours of voting. Nick Jordan calls on Moore to return the money.

Dennis Moore took an additional $29,669 from individuals and financial institutions the day after his first vote for the $700 billion bailout - for a two day total of over $64,000. The closer you look at reports from the Federal Election Commission, it seems that Dennis Moore benefited greatly from his vote to spend $700 billion of taxpayer money to bail out failed Wall Street corporations.

When 3rd Congressional District Candidate Nick Jordan heard the news, he immediately called on Dennis Moore to return this tainted money:

"Dennis Moore has repeatedly turned a deaf ear to the people of Kansas who spoke loud and clear against this flawed $700 billion bailout. This is too much for folks to handle.

In his ten years on the House Financial Services Committee, Dennis Moore helped create this mess by weakening oversight on Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae. Next, Dennis Moore was the only member of Congress from Kansas to vote for the bailout and now we find out that Dennis Moore took nearly $64,000 from the folks who stood to benefit from his support of the Wall Street bailout. It sounds to me like they got a great return on their investment.

I'm calling on Dennis Moore to do the right thing and return his bailout money - we need people in Congress who share the same values of the folks in Kansas, not someone who'll listen to 64,000 reasons from Washington insiders and Wall Street high rollers." - Nick Jordan

It's time to change the way things are done in Congress - it's time to "Wake up Washington". Nick Jordan is ready to lead the charge toward a brighter day in America and for Kansas families.
