I serve on the Judiciary Committee, which deals with most life issues. I stand firm in the fundamental belief that life begins at conception and is a sacred gift from God. I am unwavering in my pro-life position. For this reason, I was a co-sponsor of the Partial Birth Abortion Ban of 2002, H.R. 760 and voted for it on the House floor. I was honored to be at the White House when President Bush signed the much-needed ban on partial birth abortions.
