Schuring Speaks to Outdoors Group In Ashland
Kirk Schuring spoke Tuesday night to a group of Ashland County area sportsmen at Fin, Feather & Fur Outfitters.
Schuring, Republican candidate for the 16th Congressional District seat, was among several speakers who addressed their support for the Second Amendment.
"The Second amendment is one of the most important provisions of our constitution. It is the very protection that ensures our life won't be threatened and our property will be protected," Schuring said.
Bob DeSanto, Ashland County Republican Party chairman, served as master of ceremonies for the event that drew more than 70 outdoor enthusiasts and gun owners.
"I've been spending a lot of time in Ashland County. I've always been impressed with the people and the spirit of the community.
"I would be honored to serve these residents as their next congressman. I will be accessible to them and represent their values in Washington."
