Issue Position: Free Trade
Our borders must be secure, but they must also be open to commerce. Congressman Smith supported the recent passage of the Central American Free Trade Agreement. This agreement will open new markets in Central America for the export of Texas products. The growth from these new markets will increase jobs in Texas.
