Mikulski Statement on the Passing of Congresswoman Stephanie Tubbs Jones

Senator Barbara A. Mikulski (D-Md.) issued the following statement today following the passing of Congresswoman Stephanie Tubbs Jones (D-Ohio):

"There are few words to express the sorrow that I feel today. Congresswoman Tubbs Jones was a friend and a partner. As a sister social worker, we worked together on the causes we cared so much about - improving women's health and fighting child abuse. The Congresswoman was an inspiring leader and a strong voice for her constituents. She had substance, style and savvy. My thoughts and prayers go out to Congresswoman Tubbs Jones' family and all who knew and loved her during this very difficult time."
