Issue Position

The current ACOE permitting process is broken. Developers are waiting anywhere from 6-18 months for the ACOE to issue their final determination to a permit application. I support common sense solutions to eliminate the bureaucratic red-tape while making sure our natural resources are protected. I remain committed to eliminating the current backlog of applications by ensuring that permits are reviewed in a timely manner. With the additional funding I helped the Jacksonville District office secure, they were able to hire additional staff resources to help cut down on lengthy wait times.
