Issue Position

America has survived a great depression and major economic recessions. We survived and prospered because we had brave leaders who rolled up their sleeves and instead of pointing fingers at each other worked together to pull America out of the slumps.

To jumpstart our economy and bring back good jobs we need to solve the credit crisis so that businesses can gain access to the capital it needs to expand and create jobs. We need to cut the cost of energy to businesses as diverse as airlines to small bakeries. We need to find a way for all employers, large and small, to offer affordable quality health insurance to their employees.

And we need to restore faith in the American economy and American dollar around the world. We need to show the world that America is coming back. That the American people have the resolve missing in some of our leadership and we will make the changes necessary to get our economy back on track.

That's the American way.
