Luetkemeyer Plans Aggressive General Election Campaign to Fix Congress
Fresh from his victory in the Republican primary, Blaine Luetkemeyer tonight pledged to run a General Election campaign that will focus on his vision for the hard-working families of the 9th Congressional District and address the failures of liberal Democrats in Washington to represent those families.
"The people of the 9th District have made it clear that the liberal Congress is broken and I vow to fight to fix it by battling for lower taxes, an affordable energy plan, secure borders and affordable and accessible health care," Luetkemeyer said. "I am ready to continue my discussion with the people of the 9th District about real ideas and real solutions for our families."
In a show of Republican unity, Luetkemeyer asked his former Republican opponents to join him in fighting against a liberal Democrat Congress that has failed to address our country's domestic energy needs, wants to raise taxes and supports a radical East Coast social agenda that includes abortion on demand and gay marriage.
"Our campaign will be about 9th District values while the elitist Democrat values of Nancy Pelosi will be embraced by my opponent and that's what will make the difference this November," Luetkemeyer said. "This primary has clearly shown the significant support for our vision to fix Congress that is focused on making sure that all the interests of the 9th District are represented in Washington."
