Rising health care costs are hurting businesses and families all across Alaska. A government run healthcare system is not the answer to these problems. We must find solutions to make health care more flexible and affordable without jeopardizing quality or patients' choice. We need innovative solutions such as healthcare savings accounts and opening the market across state lines for health insurance. In order to make health care more affordable, we should provide full tax deductions for taxpayers who purchase medical insurance for themselves and their families. Alaskan families deserve affordable healthcare without sacrificing quality or choice.
