I want to create a culture of opportunity where Americans have access not only to jobs, but to lasting, rewarding careers.
Our current national unemployment rate is less than five percent and in Oklahoma we're down to less than four percent. That's better than the averages in any of the last three decades.
Our economic plan is working, but we need to make the tax relief that has fueled that recovery permanent. We're doing that in the House through the Tax Increase Prevention and Reconciliation Act.
It will prevent more than $20 billion in tax increases over the next four years and directly help many of our senior citizens.
