Bond Praises Supreme Court Decision Overturning Gun Ban

Highest Court Reaffirms 2nd Amendment Rights

U.S. Senator Kit Bond today praised the U.S. Supreme Court's decision upholding a fundamental right for individuals to bear arms that is guaranteed by the 2nd Amendment of the U.S. Constitution and States or localities may not overly restrict that fundamental right.

"This decision sends a clear message - Americans have a constitutionally protected individual right to bear arms. Law-abiding gun owners across America can rest easy tonight knowing that the government cannot take their guns away or leave them unprotected in their own homes."
