Issue Position

I feel strongly that it is the duty of each member of Congress to ensure the future viability of Social Security. The Social Security program is one of the most ambitious social programs this country has ever undertaken. It provides income security for millions of Americans. The future health of this system is of great interest to all our citizens and must be ensured. We must move forward in a manner that will protect and preserve this program, while safeguarding the benefits of those that currently, or will soon, rely on Social Security. I look forward to working with my colleagues in the upcoming Congress and constituents to give full consideration to the options available to us.
