Statement by Senator Mark Pryor On the Senate's Confirmation of Judge Brian Miller

The Senate today confirmed the nomination of Judge Brian Miller to serve as a federal judge for the Eastern District of Arkansas. Miller was nominated by President Bush to replace the late Judge George Howard, Jr. in October 2007.

It has been an honor to help shepherd Judge Miller's nomination through the Senate confirmation process. Throughout this process, Senators came to know Judge Miller as we in Arkansas do - an experienced judge who presides with impartiality and integrity. I am confident he will continue to serve with distinction and aptly fill the shoes of the late Judge George Howard, Jr.
