Bono Mack Seeks Reversal of EPA Decision
Congresswoman Mary Bono Mack (CA-45) today joined several of her colleagues in introducing the Right to Clean Vehicles Act, which would reverse the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPA) decision to deny California's request for a waiver, allowing the state to regulate greenhouse-gas emissions from motor vehicles. Bono Mack issued the following statement:
"Californians should have the right to set standards that will protect them from air pollution and environmental hazards," said Bono Mack. "California has long been on the forefront of clean environment policy, and other states have benefited from our State's leadership. I urge the Administration to reconsider its position and allow California to once again take forward-looking action that will foster a cleaner environment into the future."
