Barrow Remains Committed to Passing CHIP
Georgia Congressman John Barrow (D-Savannah) issued the following statement today after President Bush's latest veto of the Children's Health Insurance Program legislation:
"I'm disappointed that President Bush has decided to veto, for a second time, a bipartisan bill that would have provided health insurance for 161,000 uninsured children in Georgia. But I won't give up. I'll continue to work with my colleagues, on both sides of the aisle, who agree that we need to find some way to insure the 10 million kids whose parents make too much for Medicaid but still can't afford health insurance for their kids."
