Crowley Votes Against Iraq War Funds

CROWLEY VOTES AGAINST IRAQ WAR FUNDING

WASHINGTON, DC - Today, Congressman Joseph Crowley (D-Queens & the Bronx) issued the following statement on his vote against funding for the Iraq war.

"Today, I voted my conscience, I voted against another blank check for the war in Iraq and will continue to fight for a political solution that removes our brave men and women out of harm's way," Crowley said. "President Bush's failed policies in Iraq have wasted tax payer money, destroyed the credibility of the United States around the world and, worst of all, taken thousands of American lives".

"I am proud to stand with the American public in calling on the President to bring our sons and daughters home."
