Corker Votes for Border Security Funding

U.S. Senator Bob Corker (R-TN) today voted for a border security amendment (S.AMDT.3117) to the Defense Appropriations Bill that appropriates $3 billion in emergency funding for personnel, equipment and employee verification to help secure the border and enforce immigration laws.

"Securing our borders will go a long way toward restoring public faith that the federal government is doing what it says it will do to keep America safe," said Corker, an original cosponsor of the amendment. "This amendment will put the personnel, equipment, and systems in place, so we can gain operational control of our borders."
