Meskwaki Casino Reopening

Sen. Chuck Grassley today issued the following comment regarding the opening of the Meskwaki Casino after an internal tribal dispute. Grassley was instrumental in urging the Bureau of Indian Affairs and the National Indian Gaming Commission to work with the tribe to resolve the matter.

Here is Grassley's comment.

"The opening of the casino is a great way to ring in the new year for the employees, the community and the economy. These employees have weathered a storm and can now look forward to a regular paycheck. It's been a long road, but I'm glad we got the Bureau of Indian Affairs and the National Indian Gaming Commission to finally wrap this up."
