SENATOR DOLE COMMENDS EDA FOR ASSIGNING FIRST POINT OF CONTACT TO NORTH CAROLINA

December 12th, 2003 - Washington, D.C. - Senator Elizabeth Dole commends the Economic Development Administration of the U.S. Department of Commerce for assigning Mr. Phillip Trader to be the agency's Point of Contact (POC) for North Carolina. Mr. Trader is the first POC to be assigned to North Carolina.

"As our state has been hard hit by manufacturing job losses in our traditional industries, it is important that we move forward with developing businesses and infrastructure and creating new jobs," said Dole. "I applaud the EDA for recognizing the challenges our state faces and for assigning Mr. Trader to help us overcome those challenges and grow our economy."
