Statement from Senator Kent Conrad on the Resignation of Secretary of Veterans Affairs Jim Nicholson
Senator Kent Conrad issued the following statement today after the resignation of Secretary of Veterans Affairs Jim Nicholson:
"Every day in the Senate, I am reminded of America's solemn obligation to our veterans. Veterans deserve the best health care the federal government can possibly provide. With a new and growing generation of veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan, it should be the top priority of Secretary Nicholson's replacement to not only maintain, but to update the care provided by the Department of Veterans Affairs."
