Sen. Klobuchar Statement on Minnesota National Guard Homecoming
Senator Klobuchar released the following statement today in response to members of the Minnesota National Guard 1st Brigade Combat Team returning from Iraq.
"I join all Minnesotans in welcoming the return of our National Guard soldiers from the 1st Brigade Combat Team. When a soldier returns home, it is also a homecoming for the family, for the local community and for our whole state. This homecoming is all the more heartfelt because these troops were expected to return many months ago until their tour of duty was suddenly extended."
