House Finally Passes Funding for Troops
Today Congressman Mario Diaz-Balart (R-FL) made the following statement regarding the Emergency Supplemental:
"I am pleased that the House finally agreed to remove the terms of surrender from this bill. It is obvious and unfortunate that supporting our troops has not been a priority for this Democratic leadership. The delay in getting these funds to our troops in harm's way is shameful," said Diaz-Balart. "Congress needs to listen to and support the commanders on the field. They are the ones qualified and knowledgeable to plan specific military strategy. Our brave men and women are risking their lives for our freedom, and Congress has a responsibility to make sure they have the equipment and support to get the job done and come home safely."
