Blog - Middle School to Watch

Yesterday, I was notified by the National Forum to Accelerate Middle Grades Reform that Field Middle School in Northbrook has been named one of the top performing middle schools in the country.

The 10th Congressional District has some of the best elementary and secondary schools in the nation, and it is always a pleasure hear of new success stories in the area.

But we still have much to do to improve our education system. Soon, I'll be introducing legislation to provide more flexibility while maintaining the accountability standards created by the No Child Left Behind Act. Reauthorizing the Act with important modifications will ensure that our children get the education they deserve. It's the best way to keep our workforce competitive as the world economy continues to grow.
