Jindal Provisions Included in Defense Authorization Bill
The National Defense Authorization Act (H.R. 1585) passed by the House of Representatives today contained a number of commonsense provisions that Congressman Bobby Jindal (LA-01) has pushed while in Congress to strengthen military support and coordination in response to natural disasters.
"We have seen all too well in Louisiana what happens when we do not have a legitimate emergency response plan in place," Jindal said. "The provisions contained in today's bill continue to build on our efforts to make sure that the federal and state governments are better prepared in the future."
