REP. SUSAN DAVIS STATEMENT ON SUPREME COURT RULING ON LATE-TERM ABORTION

Congresswoman Susan Davis released the following statement on the 5-4 decision by the Supreme Court to uphold the ban on late-term abortion.

"This is an unfortunate setback for reproductive rights. With this ruling, this Supreme Court has sent a signal that it will limit the rights of Americans and not protect them.

"The Supreme Court has ignored its own precedent and those of many lower courts. This ruling rejects the notion that medical decisions should be made by a woman and her doctor. The justices in the majority are saying the federal government can now interject itself in that decision."
