Hoyer Offers Condolences Following Deadly Shootings on the Virginia Tech Campus

House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-MD) offered his words of condolences following the deadly shootings today on the Virginia Tech campus:

"I am deeply and profoundly saddened by the violent tragedy that struck the Virginia Tech campus today, claiming the lives of more than 30 innocent people and severely wounding several more.

"A tragedy of this magnitude is simply incomprehensible. Our nation mourns for those we have lost and prays for the recovery of those who were wounded in this horrific act.

"Our thoughts and prayers are also with the families and friends of today's victims, current students, faculty and staff, Virginia Tech alumni, and the entire campus community, as they endeavor to cope with this monumental tragedy."
