Heller Named to Resources Committee by Leadership

Today, U.S. Congressman Dean Heller (NV-02) was appointed by House Leadership to the Natural Resources Committee and Small Business Committee.

"I am honored and pleased that House Leadership granted my first choice for committee assignments. With well over 80% of the land within Nevada controlled by the federal government, it is vital that Nevada has a voice on the Resources Committee," said Heller.

In addition, Heller was named to the Small Business Committee. The function of the Small Business Committee is to strengthen the economy through addressing the concerns and aiding small businesses.

"Nevada is one of the fastest growing states for small businesses. As Secretary of State, I was responsible for registering thousands of businesses a year and I fought to keep Nevada friendly to small businesses. I look forward to continuing to keep small businesses vibrant and healthy in America and our state," said Heller.
