Ros-Lehtinen Invites Debbie Wasserman Schultz To Tour The Miami River & Discuss The Florida Keys Wastewater Project During A Separate Visit To Monroe County

Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen has invited her colleague and new member of the powerful Appropriations Committee to tour the Miami River Dredging Project and discuss the Florida Keys Wastewater Project during a separate visit to Monroe County. Congresswoman Wasserman Schultz has accepted and confirmed that she will help Ros-Lehtinen in the quest to secure federal funds for both important projects.

Ros-Lehtinen and Wasserman Schultz will tour the Miami River along with Miami-Dade County elected officials on Friday, March 2nd from 10 Am to 12 Noon.

The weekend of March 9th , Ros-Lehtinen and Wasserman Schultz will be meeting with elected officials to discuss ways to get increased federal dollars to Monroe County. Time, exact date, and venue to be announced.

Said Ros-Lehtinen, "I am thrilled that Debbie has agreed to tour the Miami River's dredging projects and visit Monroe County to discuss the Keys wastewater projects. Debbie is a rising member in the House and if there was ever any doubt one only has to see the great Committee assignments the Speaker has assigned to her. With her sharp mind, tireless energy, and zest for improvements, she will be a wonderful and powerful ally for South Florida projects. I look forward to continue working with her and to her assistance in these important South Florida environmental initiatives."
