Iraq, Afghanistan War Veterans Applaud Langevin Record

(Warwick, R.I.) The Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America recently released its congressional scorecard and awarded an ‘A' to Congressman Jim Langevin (D-RI), who serves on the House Armed Services Committee.

According to the organization, the grade is based on Langevin's voting history on issues that affect US troops, specifically veterans from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and military families.

"I am humbled to receive this rating from our country's newest set of veterans," said Langevin. "While I did not originally vote to go to war in Iraq, I have always cast votes that ensure our troops have the equipment and technology they need to keep them safe. I am proud of each vote that I've made on behalf of these brave men and women and their families."

The Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America is the first and largest group dedicated to troops, veterans and civilian supports who are fighting or have fought in Iraq and Afghanistan - www.iavaaction.org
