VFW ENDORSES GARRETT FOR RE-ELECTION
NEW JERSEY - The Veterans of Foreign Wars Political Action Committee (VFW-PAC) has endorsed Congressman Scott Garrett for re-election to the United States House of Representatives.
"Congressman Garrett has been a leading supporter of our nation's veterans," stated New Jersey VFW Legislative Committee Member and Past Bergen County VFW District Commander Bill Thompson in announcing the endorsement. "He has
consistently cast his vote in favor of measures supporting better healthcare, increased travel reimbursement for disabled veterans, and enhanced access to medical services for veterans."
The VFW-PAC based its endorsement on Garrett's strong record in Congress on national security and defense, military personnel issues, and veterans' issues.
"I am honored to receive the support of one of the most honored and respected Veterans Service Organizations in the country. Since our nation's founding, the men and women of our armed forces have served this country with honor, with duty, and with great valor. They have left their families and their homes to protect and defend liberty both across our nation and around the world, and for this, we owe them our unending gratitude."
