In the Army, there was a common saying: "It's not worth diving on your sword over." This was often used by spineless individuals who were not willing to risk their careers for the sake of doing the right thing.
My military career is filled with examples of me "diving on my sword," particularly for my team mates and fellow Green Berets. I will not be intimidated into changing my foundational beliefs and morals. If needed, I will go down fighting for what I believe and for the people I represent.
My dad always told me, "Son, you give 'em an inch and they'll take a mile." How right he was. How many inches have your politicians given up over the years? Do you think it's time to take those inches back? I do.
