Bryant Unveils National Security And Veterans Plans

BRENTWOOD, TN - Republican candidate for U.S. Senate Ed Bryant today unveiled the third part of his plan, "Securing Tennessee's Future," on securing our national defense and honoring our veterans, at events in Clarksville and Nashville. Bryant was joined by Sen. John Ensign (R-NV) who sits on the Senate Armed Services Committee and the Veterans Affairs Committee, and members of his Veterans Leadership Council.

"In order to Secure Tennessee's Future, we need to make sure our country has a strong national defense," stated Bryant, a former Army JAG officer and professor of Constitutional Law at West Point. "As a veteran myself and having represented the 101st Airborne as part of my Congressional district, I know how hard our men and women work to protect our country. That is why it is important that we not only fund their needs while they are in active service, but when they are veterans as well.

"As Senator, I will stand up for our men and women in the armed services and work with senators like John Ensign to make sure that our active duty, National Guardsmen and veterans get the support they deserve. They are fighting hard to protect our freedoms and I will fight just as hard in the Senate to make sure they get the protection they need and deserve."
