Jobs

Free enterprise is the primary metal that helped to build the American Economic System into the powerhouse that it is today. It is a fundamental principle that sets us apart from many other nations. In order to ensure the preservation of our economic system, we must continue to demonstrate through education and accurate communication the integral role free enterprise has and must continue to play in creating jobs for the American people.

We must also be careful to elect government representatives that demonstrate real support for the free enterprise system in America.

Historically government has been instrumental in the development of new technologies from which private sector business has created many new avenues of employment. Although this has its place, we must not lose sight of the fact that some have used the power of government to establish programs that only serve to handicap those who become dependent on those programs. We have witnessed for several decades the threatened loss of entitlement programs to frighten voters into supporting certain parties come election time. Politicians have learned the art of buying votes by making empty promises to the uninformed.

Many economic challenges lay before us as a people and a nation. With those challenges come greater opportunities for growth. If those who are able-bodied and able to work get with it, many new jobs will come from the effort.

Our infrastructure has been built to offer support to those who are unable to work and I fully support the programs.

I intend to work together with the free enterprise system in America to develop emerging industries spawned from the need for energy independence and to help develop greater security measures for our state and our nation.
