Robin Jennison Tours Bio-Fuel Research Facility At Kansas State University
ManhattanGubernatorial Candidate Robin Jennison visited the Grain Science Complex at the Kansas State University Department of Agriculture on Friday.
Kansas State University is a national leader in bio-fuel research. Eventually, bio-fuels could be used to power homes and cars, reducing pollution and reducing dependence on foreign sources of energy. Bio-fuels also have the potential to be significantly less expensive than oil or coal.
Jennison is a rancher from Healy, Kansas and is running for the Republican nomination for Governor. "Bio-fuels have unlimited potential. They can alleviate the concerns of many Kansas and many Americans. If the state can earmark resources to harness bio-fuel, Kansas can be the leader in very new and exciting field of research. Bio-fuel can be cleaner, cheaper and safer than what we have now," Jennison said.
On Friday, Jennison visited with researchers from Kansas State, and also attended a candidate forum at Gardner High School in Gardner.
