Dr. Coburn Votes to Confirm General Hayden as CIA Chief

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) - U.S. Senator Tom Coburn, M.D. (R-OK) released a statement on his vote to confirm General Michael Hayden as director of the Central Intelligence Agency.
"With 20 years involvement in the intelligence business, General Hayden has the necessary experience to lead the CIA during this critical moment in our history. Gathering and analyzing intelligence is critical to our winning the global war on terrorism. General Hayden is committed to reforming our intelligence gathering so we will be prepared to face the new challenges of the 21st century," Dr. Coburn said.
