Kohl Campaign Unveils Environmental Steering Committee
As the world prepares to honor Earth Day, a global celebration of environmental protection, Senator Herb Kohl announced today the Kohl for Senate Environmental Steering Committee.
This dedicated group of conservationists and environmental leaders will share with Wisconsin voters Sen. Kohl's impressive record to protect our land, air and water, and will organize and mobilize support for Kohl throughout the environmental community.
"Protecting our natural resources for future generations is a tremendously important mission, one that I have always fought for in the Senate," said Sen. Kohl. "I am proud of the progress we have made to preserve Wisconsin's natural beauty, and I am eager to work with this committee and continue this critical work."
Chaired by longtime environmental activist Brett Hulsey, the committee includes leaders from across the state and will highlight Sen. Kohl's work to protect water quality, preserve valuable forestlands, fight pollution, defend and expand the Wisconsin Ice Age Trail and improve federal efforts to help local communities protect natural resources and conserve land and waterways.
