LoBiondo Announces Additional Veterans Enrollment Clinic in Somers Point
Congressman Continues Efforts to Enroll Eligible South Jersey Veterans in VA Healthcare System, Encourages Use of Kessler Memorial Hospital for Acute Inpatient & Outpatient Services
WASHINGTON, D.C. - After announcing in January that new VA-approved acute inpatient and outpatient services would be available at Kessler Memorial Hospital in Hammonton, U.S. Representative Frank A. LoBiondo (NJ-02) today detailed his plans to hold additional enrollment clinics for Southern New Jersey veterans to determine their eligibility and, if eligible, enroll within the VA healthcare system. The next clinic will be in Somers Point on Tuesday, March 21st.
"Our veterans have clearly demonstrated to VA officials their interest in having acute inpatient and outpatient services available in South Jersey. While only offering four select services at this time, the public-private partnership with Kessler Memorial Hospital is an important first step," said LoBiondo. "With only an approximate 22 percent of eligible area veterans enrolled in the VA healthcare system, I will host additional clinics and encourage our veterans to utilize quality healthcare services as I continue to work to bring additional services for more veterans closer to home."
