McHUGH: $2.4 MILLION IN FAA FUNDS WILL AID IN RUNWAY REPAIR AT ADIRONDACK REGIONAL

02/16/06

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has awarded a $2.4 million grant for runway rehabilitation at the Adirondack Regional Airport in Saranac Lake, Rep. John M. McHugh (R-NY) announced today. The funds were awarded to the airport through FAA's Airport Improvement Program.

"This is important funding for the Adirondack Regional Airport, which provides area residents and businesses with a vital link to America's transportation network," McHugh said. "The ability to maintain and improve infrastructure is critical to the operations of our upstate airports. I'm pleased that the federal government continues to recognize, in particular, the needs of our smaller airports, and provides funds necessary to keep planes flying safely in the North Country."
