TO ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS SHALL COME:
WHEREAS I, RICK PERRY, Governor of the State of Texas, did issue Emergency Disaster Proclamations in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, a disaster in sister states, on September 1, 2005, October 3, 2005, and October 31, 2005; and
WHEREAS, I do hereby certify that Hurricane Katrina continues to create an emergency disaster and emergency conditions for the people in the State of Texas.
NOW THEREFORE, in accordance with the authority vested in me by Section 418.014 of the Texas Government Code, I do hereby renew the disaster proclamation and direct that all necessary measures, both public and private as authorized under Section 418.015 of the code, be implemented to meet that disaster.
As provided in Section 418.016, all rules and regulations that may inhibit or prevent prompt response to this threat are suspended for the duration of the incident. This Proclamation shall be effective for a period of 30 days beginning on December 1, 2005.
