Issue Position

As Idahoans, our ability to safeguard our electrical infrastructure and power grids against cyber attacks and system failures is crucial to protecting our state and national interests.

Idaho's long-term economic competitiveness is intimately linked to cybersecurity, but our companies and government networks are not the only ones vulnerable to cyberattacks. All Idahoans are under threat if our state is not vigilant about protecting our citizens' privacy.As chair of the Idaho Cybersecurity Cabinet Task Force, it is my responsibility to work with other members and ensure that the state leaders are working with industry leaders, and the best and brightest in our private sector, to ensure Idaho's intellectual properties, state resources and data systems are protected.
