Bishop Supports NDAA 2017 to Strengthen Military, Raise Pay for Troops

In response to the House passage of S. 2943, the National Defense Authorization Act for FY 2017 Conference Report, Congressman Mike Bishop (MI-08) issued the following statement:
"The number one responsibility of Congress is to provide for the safety of the American people -- including those who serve. The 2017 National Defense Authorization Act follows through on that by improving the technology, readiness and strength of our military. It also secures the largest troop pay raise in more than six years, which our brave men and women greatly deserve. I am pleased to see this legislation move one step closer to the president's desk."
