Labrador Congratulates President-elect Trump, Calls for Change in Washington

Statement

Rep. Raúl Labrador, R-Idaho, issued the following statement:

"I congratulate President-elect Donald Trump for his historic victory that brings Americans the new leadership they've long demanded. This election was a ringing call for change and I am eager to work with the President-elect to repair a broken system in Washington, D.C.

"Many issues require our immediate attention, starting with reviving our sluggish economy. We can begin by repealing and replacing Obamacare, rolling back excessive federal regulations and enacting equitable tax reform. I also expect to find common ground with the President-elect on securing our borders and reforming our criminal justice system.

"The American people have given us an opportunity to do the right thing. Now we must seize the moment."
