U.S. Rep. Rick Larsen, D-Everett, will visit an Edmonds Community College program on helping students make transitions from the criminal justice system to employment when he tours the college Wednesday.

Larsen will tour the "Next Steps" program on the first Floor of the college's Gateway Hall, 6600 196th St. S.W. at 2:45 p.m.

The Next Steps program helps people who are preparing for education and re-entering the workforce after leaving the criminal justice system.

Larsen represents Washington's 2nd Congressional District, including Lynnwood, Mountlake Terrace, Brier, coastal areas of Snohomish, Skagit and Whatcom counties from Mukilteo to Bellingham, and all of Island and San Juan counties.
