Public Service Commissioner and U.S. Senate Candidate Foster Campbell (D-Elm Grove) released his prior year tax returns on Thursday, and called on his opponents in the Senate race to do the same.

"I think it's the right thing to do. If you're serious about representing people, they should know how you make your living," Campbell said. "As a part-time public servant, I've had to work hard to build my business as I served our people for over forty years."

Many candidates in the Senate race, including Campbell, have loaned their own campaigns money to support their bids for the Senate seat.

"When you are putting your own money up in your campaign account, people should know where it's really coming from," Campbell said. "I think the only reason not to do this is that you have something to hide. Some people go to great lengths to avoid talking about their finances, but I'm an open book."
