Congresswoman Matsui Announces FAA Grant Funding to Improve Sacramento International Airport

Today, Congresswoman Doris Matsui (D-CA) announced that the Sacramento International Airport will be awarded over $16 million in grant funding from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The grant funding will be used toward a $35 million project that the Sacramento County Department of Airports (SCDOA) is undertaking to rehabilitate the taxiway on the East side of the airfield.

"The Sacramento International Airport serves as a critical gateway to our regional economy," said Congresswoman Matsui. "The improvements made possible by this grant will ensure the airport's continued efficiency as it meets the transportation needs of visitors, residents, and businesses alike. I will continue to ensure we are committing the federal funding needed for our local transportation infrastructure projects, which remain an important building block in our region's economic success."
