Indiana F.O.P. Endorses John Gregg for Governor

Citing his commitment to public safety and improving the lives of working Hoosiers, today the Indiana Fraternal Order of Police's Political Action Committee officially endorsed John Gregg for Indiana governor.

"With John Gregg and Christina Hale leading the state, the Indiana Fraternal Order of Police is confident the law enforcement community as well as the citizens of this fine state will have a strong advocate for public safety in the Statehouse" said Bill Owensby, president of the Indiana Fraternal Order of Police (F.O.P.).

A statewide organization representing more than 14,000 law enforcement officers and their families, the Indiana F.O.P. works to improve the safety and working conditions of law enforcement officers through education, legislation, information, community involvement, and employee representation.

"We are honored to receive the endorsement of the men and women of the Indiana F.O.P. and look forward to working with them to ensure all Hoosiers are safe in their homes, their schools, where they work and throughout their entire communities," said Gregg. "They put their lives on the line every day and as their next governor and lieutenant governor, Christina Hale and I will proudly be their voice in the Statehouse."

John Gregg has worked throughout the public and private sector. He served as President of Vincennes University, Speaker of the Indiana House of Representatives, worked for two Fortune 500 companies and is a practicing attorney today. Gregg holds an associate's degree from Vincennes University, a bachelor's degree from Indiana University, a master's degree from Indiana State University and a law degree from Indiana University. He and his wife, Lisa, have three adult children and live in Sandborn in Knox County.
