The 12th Legislative District benefits greatly from its tourism, parks, and recreational opportunities. People travel from near and far to visit the beautiful communities of Leavenworth, Cashmere, Lake Chelan, the Wenatchee Valley, and the Methow Valley. Our district has fantastic state parks for visitors to enjoy all along the way. Outdoor recreation continues to grow in popularity and has become a key part of our local culture and identity. Our state must continue to recognize, value, and promote the amazing tourism, parks, and recreational opportunities in our state.

Other neighboring states are working hard to promote their destinations and entice travelers--and the dollars that they spend--to other locations. Washington State must be willing to think creatively in promoting opportunities here so that we can leverage the tourism industry to continue to generate net revenue for our economy.
