Today, Congressman Frank Pallone, Jr. (NJ-06) announced that the U.S. Department of Education has awarded the New Jersey Department of Education $917,732 as part of the State Personnel Development Program. New Jersey will use the funds to improve services for students with disabilities through educator training programs and the recruitment and retention of qualified special education teachers.

"I am pleased that the Department of Education has selected New Jersey to receive this federal grant and give our state the opportunity to improve our schools so they can better serve children with disabilities," said Pallone.
